A judge ordered preventive detention while investigators continue to seek the alleged mastermind known as “Cuchucho.”

In Valencia, Venezuela, authorities captured 33‑year‑old Carlos Alberto Tovar Forte for the July 20 stabbing death of 27‑year‑old Edgardo Javier Vera Cedeño, who allegedly owed Tovar US$150. The homicide occurred after a heated argument, and Tovar was taken into custody a week later.

Both cases involve local investigations into violent crimes tied to personal disputes, with suspects now in preventive detention.
