Honaz Municipality approves Sultan Murat Mosque restoration
The Honaz Municipality extraordinary council meeting has approved plans for excavation, restoration, and conservation work at the Sultan Murat Mosque, a site of significant historical and cultural importance to the district.
The project is slated to be conducted through the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums, and the Denizli Governor's Office. The municipality has granted the necessary approvals for these interventions to proceed.
During the meeting, members of the Republican People's Party and the Great Unity Party were present, while members of the Yeni Parti did not attend. Honaz Mayor Yüksel Kepenek emphasized that the preservation of the town's historical heritage transcends political differences.
