Honda City 2026 design registration signals potential Vietnam launch

The 2026 Honda City is expected to enter the Vietnamese market following the registration of its industrial design with the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office. The new design filings include specific components such as the front bumper and lighting clusters.

The upcoming model features a significant exterior redesign, specifically around the front end, with a redesigned grille, bumper, and a new lens-based lighting system. Internally, the vehicle is expected to include a 10-inch floating entertainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and an electronic parking brake.

While the current model in Vietnam is a facelifted version from 2023, the 2026 generation may introduce hybrid technology. In the Thai market, the Honda City 2026 is available with a 1.0L turbo gasoline engine or an e:HEV hybrid powertrain featuring a 1.5L engine paired with dual electric motors. Honda Vietnam has not yet officially confirmed the launch date or specific configurations for the local market.
