Honda unveils 60th anniversary livery for MotoGP Japan

Honda is celebrating its 60th anniversary in the premier motorcycle racing class with a special retro livery at the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix held at the Mobility Resort Motegi. The HRC factory team will debut a design inspired by the historic RC181 and RC166 models from the 1960s, honoring the legacy of riders like Mike Hailwood and Jim Redman.

For the event, Luca Marini and Somkiat Chantra will ride the RC213V featuring the commemorative graphics. Chantra is stepping in to replace Joan Mir, who is currently recovering from injury. Additionally, Takaaki Nakagami will participate as a wildcard.

The Japanese Grand Prix schedule runs from October 2 to 4, 2026, including practice sessions, qualifying, a Sprint race on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday.
