Honda introduces new Civic e:HEV with S+ Shift technology

Honda has introduced the new Honda Civic e:HEV, featuring the Honda S+ Shift technology. This new feature is inspired by motorsport and is designed to translate racing excitement into daily driving experiences by enhancing acceleration and responsiveness.

The development follows Honda’s ‘Man-Maximum, Machine-Minimum’ philosophy, which prioritizes the driver. Hideki Kakinuma, the lead research and development engineer for the new Civic e:HEV, stated that the goal was to ensure technological advancement increases driving excitement rather than diminishing it.

Koji Iwanami, President and CEO of Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., noted that the S+ Shift mode allows drivers to experience a distinct change in the vehicle’s character.
