Honda launches CUV e: electric scooter in Japan

Honda has released the CUV e:, a new electric scooter designed for the class equivalent to 50cc to 125cc gasoline-powered motorcycles. Released on June 20, 2025, the vehicle aims to challenge the dominance of gasoline-powered city commuters by offering competitive performance and cost-effectiveness.

The base vehicle price is set at 200,200 yen (including tax). However, the total cost for operation includes two Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries and a Honda Power Pack Charger e:, bringing the total manufacturer's suggested retail price to 528,000 yen (including tax). The availability of Clean Energy Vehicle (CEV) subsidies and local government incentives may further reduce the final cost for consumers.
