Honda launches locally assembled UC3 electric scooter in Vietnam
Honda Vietnam has transitioned to domestic assembly for the UC3 electric scooter, replacing imported models from Thailand. The locally produced version features a slight power upgrade, with a rear-wheel electric motor delivering 6.24 kW compared to the 6.0 kW found in imported units. This allows for a top speed of 82 km/h.
The vehicle utilizes a 3.174 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery integrated into the floorboard, meeting IP67 dust and water resistance standards. The battery provides a range of up to 120 km per charge, with a 1,200 W charger capable of a full charge in approximately four hours.
While the suggested retail prices remain at 80 million VND for the Standard version and 81.4 million VND for the Special version, Honda is currently offering promotional pricing between 56.5 and 57.9 million VND to drive demand. This positioning places the UC3 in direct competition with internal combustion engine scooters and domestic electric competitors.
