Honda marks 500 Formula 1 appearances at United States Grand Prix
Honda will reach a major milestone in motorsport by completing its 500th appearance in Formula 1 during the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. This figure includes all competitions where Honda engines or power units were officially entered under the brand name.
To commemorate the achievement, Aston Martin F1 Team cars will feature a special Honda500 identification. Honda’s history in the premier category began in 1964 at the German Grand Prix with the RA271 chassis and engine. The company achieved its first victory in Mexico in 1965 and saw significant success between 1988 and 1991, providing engines for McLaren’s four consecutive driver and constructor championships.
Following partnerships with Williams and Red Bull Racing, Honda has returned as a factory technical partner for Aston Martin starting from the 2026 season, supplying the RA626H hybrid power unit.
