Honda NSX auction sees multi‑million valuations and a high‑profile unsold model

A red 1991 Honda NSX that was gifted by Honda to three‑time Formula 1 champion Ayrton Senna is slated for auction by RM Sotheby's on 31 October. The car, registered in Portugal and previously owned by Senna in Lisbon, is valued at roughly 2.45‑3.92 million zł (500‑800 k GBP) because of its rarity – one of only three NSX units given to Senna – and its documented provenance.

Separately, a 2003 NA2‑type Honda NSX‑R that underwent a factory‑approved restoration costing over ¥12 million (about €85‑95 k) was offered at a historic‑car auction in Italy. The vehicle, praised for its pristine condition and original performance specs, carried an estimated price of up to €95 million (≈¥1.75 billion) but failed to attract a winning bid, resulting in a “Not Sold” outcome.
