Honda NSX legacy highlighted by new restomod and Senna auction

JAS Motorsport has unveiled a modern restomod of the first-generation Honda NSX, a project developed in collaboration with Honda and featuring design work by Pininfarina. While the chassis, windshield, and side windows of the original model are retained, the rest of the body has been reconstructed using carbon fiber. The vehicle features an upgraded 3.5-liter atmospheric V6 engine producing 425 hp and 350 Nm of torque, capable of reaching 8,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

The lightweight sports car weighs 1,200 kg and includes an updated chassis with electronically adjustable dampers and upgraded braking systems.

In a separate development related to the model's legacy, a 1991 Honda NSX previously owned by racing legend Ayrton Senna is scheduled to go up for auction in London this October. Senna was famously involved in the development of the NSX, providing technical feedback to stiffen the chassis and refine the suspension systems.
