Honda praises Aston Martin's professionalism amid technical struggles

Honda has praised Aston Martin for its professional response to a difficult start in their partnership. Despite high expectations for the 2026 project, the collaboration has faced significant technical hurdles during the first eleven Grands Prix.

Issues including lack of performance, reliability problems, and severe vibrations linked to the battery have impacted the new power unit. These vibrations were noted by Adrian Newey as being significant enough to cause physical concern for drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. Consequently, Aston Martin currently sits tenth in the constructors' championship with only one point.

Shintaro Orihara, Honda's chief engineer, stated that the team has not faced accusations from its partner. He noted that Aston Martin has prioritized finding solutions over assigning blame, maintaining a respectful and professional relationship despite the technical challenges.
