Honda Prelude sees strong sales in Taiwan and performance testing

The Honda Prelude is seeing significant market activity, with Honda Taiwan reporting that its initial allocation of 200 units has completely sold out within one month. In response to this demand, Honda Taiwan has introduced the 2027 model year Prelude, featuring a blue and black dual-tone interior and a new limited edition Two-Tone model with a white body and black roof. The vehicle utilizes an e:HEV hybrid powertrain and includes a ‘Honda S+ Shift’ function to simulate gear changes.

In performance comparisons, the Prelude’s 200-horsepower hybrid system has been tested against the Toyota GR86. While the GR86 offers a more traditional driving experience with a manual transmission and a 0-60 mph time of 6.0 seconds, the Prelude provides a smooth hybrid experience suited for traffic, achieving a 0-60 mph time of 7.2 seconds. Experts note that while the Prelude is a front-wheel-drive vehicle, it offers class-leading handling grip.
