Honda Rebel 500 price set around Rs 5.5 lakh for India launch
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India will re‑introduce the Rebel 500 in the Indian market as a locally assembled CKD model. The bike will be offered in a standard manual version and an E‑Clutch variant that allows clutch‑less gear changes. A price leak on Honda’s BigWing site lists the ex‑showroom price at roughly Rs 5.5 lakh, though a later report suggests the final price could be lower than the leaked figure.
Around 50 % of the motorcycle’s components will be sourced in India, while the 471 cc liquid‑cooled parallel‑twin engine will continue to be imported. The new Rebel 500 competes with Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and Kawasaki’s Eliminator in the premium cruiser segment.
