Honda recalls 15,800 ZR‑V, Civic and Accord vehicles over seat frame defect

Honda Motor Co. announced a recall of 15,873 vehicles in Japan and Thailand covering the mid‑size SUV ZR‑V, the mid‑size sedan Civic and the large sedan Accord. The defect involves improper molding of the left‑side seat frame on both driver and passenger seats, causing the frame edge to fall outside safety standards. Affected ZR‑V and Civic units were produced domestically from 14 January to 30 July 2025, while imported Accord models were built in Thailand between 3 April and 3 December 2025.

The recall was filed with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Honda will add protective material to the problematic frame edges on all affected vehicles, and the replacement parts for the seat‑frame assemblies are also being recalled. No accidents or injuries have been reported to date.

Owners will be contacted to arrange free repairs, and Honda expects the corrective measures to restore compliance with safety regulations.
