Honda to host Kumamoto Homecoming 2026 event

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that the ‘Honda Motorcycle Homecoming Kumamoto 2026’ event will be held on October 11, 2026, at the Kumamoto Plant in Ozu, Kumamoto Prefecture. The event serves as a way to express gratitude to customers and strengthen bonds with motorcycle enthusiasts.

Despite the Kumamoto Plant being affected by the earthquake on July 28, production of finished vehicles resumed in late August. Honda confirmed that the event will proceed with sufficient safety measures in place.

The 2026 event marks the 50th anniversary of the Kumamoto Plant's operations, which began in 1976. Under the themes of ‘Heritage’ and ‘Technology,’ the program will include factory production line tours, exhibitions of new and old 400cc four-cylinder motorcycles, and developer talk shows. Other activities include pit stop demonstrations by the Honda HRC team, electric scooter test rides, and special commemorative exhibits for the plant's 50th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of the merger of Ozu Town. Admission to the event is free, though food and merchandise will require payment.
