Honda unveils redesigned Passport TrailSport with enhanced off-road capabilities

Honda has introduced a redesigned Passport, moving away from its conservative styling toward a more muscular, boxy aesthetic. The new midsize SUV features a bold grille with integrated LED lighting, flared wheel arches, and improved approach and departure angles.

The TrailSport trim is specifically engineered for off-road performance, featuring a revised suspension and subframe. For the 2027 model year, Honda implemented a 1.38-inch lift to provide a maximum ground clearance of 9.65 inches. Hardware upgrades include redesigned springs, dampers, control arms, stabilizer bars, and knuckles.

Additional off-road features for the TrailSport include an upgraded all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring, a locking rear differential, reinforced underbody protection, and dedicated drive modes for rock and sand. The vehicle can be equipped with 18-inch wheels or 31-inch all-terrain tires.
