Honda wins Red Dot Design Awards for EV Outlier Concept

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has won two prestigious Red Dot Design Awards for its advancements in electric two-wheeler design and brand communication.

The EV Outlier Concept received the award in the ‘Design Concept’ category. This concept vehicle, which first debuted at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, utilizes a revolutionary architecture that departs from traditional internal combustion engine layouts. By employing a hub motor system in both the front and rear wheels, the design achieves an extremely low profile and a unique riding posture. The concept represents Honda’s vision for two-wheeled mobility beyond 2030, focusing on the theme ‘Precision of Intrinsic Design’.

Additionally, Honda’s brand film, ‘What Is a Motorcycle? / Electric Motorcycles’, won in the ‘Brand and Communication Design’ category. The film explores the unique value of electric vehicles and envisions a future ecosystem where humans and electric motorcycles coexist harmoniously within society.
