Honduran Ambassador announces labor migration plan for Spain

Ana Paola Hall, the Honduran Ambassador to Spain, has announced plans to expand labor migration programs between Honduras and Spain. Currently, approximately 1,000 Honduran citizens are engaged in temporary agricultural work in Spain. Hall stated that a selection process has already begun to facilitate the travel of an additional 2,000 Hondurans for similar opportunities, scheduled for January 2027.

In addition to labor initiatives, the ambassador aims to foster economic ties by encouraging Spanish investment in Honduras. Hall emphasized her commitment to a “doors open” policy, seeking to provide direct assistance and support to the Honduran community residing in Spain.

Regarding her domestic roles, Hall is currently on a special leave of absence from her position as a counselor for the National Electoral Council (CNE) to fulfill her diplomatic duties in Europe.
