Honduran Congress approves funding to rebuild 400 schools and boost rural internet

Congress President Tomás Zambrano announced that the Honduran legislature will approve a budget to reconstruct 400 schools destroyed across the country. The plan includes a manual of civic values and a near‑final agreement with Starlink to provide internet connectivity to rural and interior schools.

In the Valle department, Zambrano and the Directorate of Social Action delivered 100,000 lempiras to the Instituto Bilingüe Santa María de Guadalupe and 200,000 lempiras to the San Lorenzo Catholic church, alongside Governor Héctor García and local deputies. The funds aim to strengthen education and community development throughout Honduras.
