Honduran Congress delegation visits Colombia to strengthen security ties
A high-level delegation from the Honduran National Congress, led by President Tomás Zambrano, is conducting an official visit to Colombia to strengthen bilateral ties and parliamentary cooperation.
During meetings with Colombian Senate President Honorio Henríquez and other legislators, the discussions focused on security, specifically strategies to combat organized crime and extortion. Zambrano stated that the mission aims to study Colombia’s successful models in law enforcement to implement similar practices in Honduras.
In addition to security, the delegation addressed electoral reforms, legislative modernization, and technical cooperation. The Honduran group, which includes Mario Pérez and Antonio Rivera Callejas, also engaged with various Colombian congressmen to exchange expertise in legislative techniques and government oversight.
