Honduran Congress provides 200,000 lempiras to Ocotepeque school

A legislative delegation led by President Tomás Zambrano visited the Instituto Gubernamental Juventud Hondureña in Nueva Ocotepeque to deliver 200,000 lempiras.

The funds, sourced from salary deductions applied to deputies for absences or for disrupting parliamentary sessions, are designated for the installation of air conditioning in the school's classrooms. The institution serves more than 1,300 students.

During the visit, Zambrano emphasized the legislature's commitment to improving the national education system through school infrastructure and encouraged students to pursue academic excellence.
