Honduran Evangelical Brotherhood calls for national prayer days

The Confraternidad Evangélica de Honduras has announced a national day of prayer and humiliation scheduled for September 4 and 5. The initiative, led by president Gerardo Irías, aims to address the rising levels of violence and criminality affecting the country.

Irías cited the recent murder of an evangelical pastor as an example of the pervasive insecurity impacting men, women, and children alike. He called for a spiritual renewal and a return to social values to combat the increasing lawlessness.

The scheduled activities include conferences at the CCI starting at 5:00 p.m., followed by a large-scale prayer gathering at the Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés. While organized by the evangelical community, the invitation is open to all Hondurans, and leaders expressed a desire to cooperate with the Catholic Church and other religious sectors.
