An 11-year-old girl, Allison Abigail Murillo, is facing a difficult recovery after being attacked by a pitbull in the Lomas de San Juan neighborhood of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The incident occurred as the child was returning from school.
Murillo sustained severe injuries, particularly to one of her ears, which her family reports may lead to permanent hearing loss. She has already undergone two surgeries at the Hospital Mario Catarino Rivas and requires specialized medical follow-up. Beyond physical trauma, her mother noted the child is experiencing significant emotional distress and fear of dogs.
