Honduran police offer reward for information on armed criminals
The National Police in Islas de la Bahía, Honduras, has announced a reward of 5,000 lempiras for information leading to the identification of individuals carrying firearms for illicit activities. Commissioner Lisandro Muñoz, head of the local police, stated the initiative aims to remove weapons from circulation following recent incidents of armed violence, including a weekend shooting that resulted in two deaths.
Authorities are urging citizens to provide specific reports regarding individuals involved in crimes such as robberies. The police have provided a direct contact number for residents to assist in these investigations as part of a broader security strategy for the islands.
