Honduran SMEs to receive free AI and e-commerce training

Honduran small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will participate in a free digital workshop aimed at teaching them how to create websites and online stores using artificial intelligence. Part of the National Plan for AI and E-commerce, the “Jornada Digital e IA PYME 2026” will be held on October 5 in Tegucigalpa at the Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras and on October 6 in San Pedro Sula.

The initiative, driven by SENPRENDE and Kolau, includes workshops on professional web design, payment integration, and automated communication via WhatsApp. The program aims to incorporate over 10,000 Honduran SMEs into AI-assisted e-commerce annually. Additionally, 50 municipalities will present new websites designed to facilitate municipal services and promote local tourism and investment.
