Honduran students win second place in international robotics competition

Students from the Instituto Gubernamental Primero de Mayo in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, secured second place at the STEAM Passion 2026 international robotics competition held in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Representing Honduras, the high school students competed against various academic levels, including university delegations. They presented three technological projects developed from scratch, demonstrating their ability to solve technical challenges and maintain their proposals during the three-day event focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
