Honduras: Body recovered from El Cajón dam after fatal boat accident

Firefighters in Honduras have recovered the body of 40-year-old Griselda Sofía Martínez Díaz from the Francisco Morazán hydroelectric dam, also known as El Cajón. Her body was located at a depth of 20 meters during search operations on Monday afternoon.

The recovery follows a weekend tragedy in which a boat carrying seven people capsized during an excursion. While five passengers were rescued alive, two women drowned in the incident. Following the recovery, the remains will be transferred to the judicial morgue in San Pedro Sula for legal procedures.
