Honduras launches 29th Children's Congress

The National Congress of Honduras has officially launched the 29th edition of the Children's Congress, scheduled to take place from October 24 to 27. Operating under the motto “Children speak, Honduras listens,” the initiative aims to create spaces for youth participation, leadership, and dialogue.

The event will bring together 128 child deputies representing all 18 departments of the country. These representatives are expected to present proposals focused on strengthening education and contributing to national development.

The launch was led by National Congress President Tomás Zambrano, Yohana Estrada de Zambrano of the Social Action and Hope Office, and Minister of Education Ivette Argueta. Zambrano emphasized that the National Congress will follow up on the proposals generated during the event to analyze the initiatives presented by the youth.
