Honduras reports two fatal shootings in Comayagua and Choluteca

Two separate fatal shootings have been reported in Honduras, highlighting ongoing violence in the country.

In La Libertad, Comayagua, Gerson Joel Castillo Ulloa was shot and killed while working inside a warehouse. Armed individuals entered the establishment and opened fire; witnesses reported hearing at least three gunshots. Although bystanders attempted to transport Castillo Ulloa to a medical center, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have cordoned off the scene to collect evidence, but no arrests have been made.

In El Triunfo, Choluteca, 37-year-old Eusebio José Suazo was killed at his residence in the Las Aspirantes sector. According to police reports, an unidentified man on a motorcycle approached the home, which also served as a beverage shop. While Suazo was attending to the individual, the suspect opened fire. Investigators are considering a possible link to drug distribution as a motive, noting that Suazo had a prior arrest record for possession of cocaine and marijuana. Police are currently searching for the perpetrator.
