Honduras U-17 national team competes in Spanish friendly matches

The Honduras U-17 national football team is currently in Spain for a series of international friendly matches as part of their preparation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar 2026.

In one fixture, the Honduran squad secured a historic 0-0 draw against the Real Madrid reserve team, maintaining defensive organization throughout the match. Following this result, the team faced Atlético de Madrid's youth academy, resulting in a 4-1 defeat.

The Honduran Football Federation (FFH) stated that these matches are intended to provide international experience, allow players to adjust to European football rhythms, and provide technical staff with material to improve defensive organization and collective coordination ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
