Hong Gai Ward installs surveillance cameras at electric school bus stops

Hong Gai Ward has implemented a surveillance camera system at all 29 stops used by electric school buses to enhance student safety and traffic management. The cameras monitor students waiting for, boarding, and exiting vehicles, as well as the surrounding areas. This system allows local authorities and police to track parking compliance and identify potential safety hazards or unauthorized vehicle obstructions.

This initiative follows the launch of free electric school bus services in the Ha Long, Hong Gai, and Ha Tu wards of Quang Ninh City for the 2026-2027 school year.

In light of the new school year, authorities are also urging parents to manage traffic congestion near school gates. Recommendations include arriving early to avoid peak hours, parking only in designated areas, and strictly adhering to traffic laws. Police have specifically warned against allowing underage students to operate motorbikes, noting that responsibility for such violations will be verified against the vehicle owners.
