Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital launches new specialized services
The Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital has launched five new specialized disease service programs, targeting adults aged 18 and above. These services include treatment for functional gastrointestinal disease, sub-health conditioning, menopausal syndrome, skin eczema, and facial paralysis.
The facial paralysis program utilizes an integrated Western and Chinese medicine model, providing acute phase treatment through a collaborative approach involving neurologists and physical therapists, while the recovery phase focuses primarily on Chinese medicine. The eczema service will utilize a pure Chinese medicine approach, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, and topical treatments.
The hospital plans to expand its offerings in November with five additional specialized services, including Parkinson's disease, oncology collaborative treatment, seasonal influenza, prostate syndrome, and pediatric developmental delay. The hospital aims to launch a total of 12 specialized Chinese medicine projects within its first year of operation.
