British Columbia drug lab bust seizes firearms, explosives and fentanyl

Police in British Columbia raided an under‑construction synthetic drug laboratory on a rural Abbotsford property. The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU‑BC) and the RCMP seized 44 firearms, including privately‑made “ghost guns,” 65 tubes of commercial explosives, and a large drug cache: about 2 kg of fentanyl, 2 kg of methamphetamine, 64 L of GHB, plus cocaine, heroin, MDMA, oxycodone, benzodiazepines, psilocybin, cannabis products and 315 cannabis plants. Four individuals were arrested at locations in Abbotsford, Surrey and Enderby and released pending further investigation. Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha said the lab, if completed, could have produced fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA and GHB, highlighting the threat to public safety from organized‑crime drug operations.
