Hong Kong Fashion Fest 2026 explores AI and sustainability

The Fashion Summit (HK) 2026 was held on September 3 at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, serving as a flagship event of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest. Under the theme ‘Code the Fashion Forward’, the summit brought together global fashion leaders, innovators, and sustainability advocates to discuss the intersection of digital transformation and environmental responsibility.

Key discussions focused on how artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and new business models can drive a more sustainable and intelligent future for the industry. Participants explored AI applications in design, retail strategy, and product lifecycle optimization, emphasizing that technology should be used to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact while preserving traditional craftsmanship and human creativity.

The broader Hong Kong Fashion Fest, running from September 1 to 14, includes Centrestage, a major trade platform featuring approximately 270 brands from 24 countries. The festival aims to position Hong Kong as a premier fashion hub in Asia by leveraging its unique position as a bridge between Eastern and Western markets and its established manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem.
