Hong Kong heiress Laurinda Ho explores culinary business
Laurinda Ho, daughter of the late billionaire Stanley Ho and Polly Netter, has ventured into the food industry with her brand, Jiu Wu Beef Noodles. An economics graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London, Ho previously gained professional experience at Ernst & Young.
In 2018, she opened a Taiwanese-style beef noodle restaurant in Hong Kong. While she expanded with a second branch in 2020, that location closed within six months due to high rental costs and declining customer numbers during the pandemic. Following this, she transitioned to a partnership model, incorporating her beef noodle dishes into a Taiwanese teppanyaki restaurant chain in Shanghai.
