Italian women's volleyball opens VNL 2026 finals in Macao vs Netherlands

On 22 July 2026 the Italy women's national volleyball team, coached by Julio Velasco, will open the VNL 2026 Finals in Macao, playing the Netherlands in the quarter‑finals at 10:00 CET. The match will be streamed live on DAZN and VBTv.

Italy are the defending champions, having won the title in Bangkok 2024 and retained it in Lodz 2025, marking their fifth consecutive appearance in the VNL finals (2022‑2026). The Dutch side were previously beaten 3‑0 by Italy in the first week of the tournament in Brasilia. A victory would pit Italy against the winner of the Brazil‑Japan quarter‑final in the next round. Velasco said, “It will be a difficult match, but the team is ready.”
