Hong Kong IPO market sees new listings in AI and robotics sectors

The Hong Kong IPO market is seeing a wave of new listings, with five companies currently or recently undergoing subscription processes. These companies span various sectors including AI-related infrastructure, robotics, and advanced materials.

Among the notable listings is PCB manufacturer Jingwang Electronics (3228), which has attracted significant cornerstone investors including Zhongji Innolight and Kingboard Group. Analysts suggest it is a preferred choice due to its alignment with the AI infrastructure boom.

Other active IPOs include: • Benmo Technology (6731): A robotics technology firm aiming to raise up to 1.08 billion HKD to enhance R&D. • Robortech (3757): A provider of photovoltaic and silicon photonics equipment, which has secured cornerstone investment from Temasek. • Tongcheng New Materials (9607): A comprehensive new materials supplier seeking up to 3 billion HKD. • Hanchuang Technology (6802): A provider of spatial perception products for cleaning robots, which has recently turned profitable.

While the IPO market saw a slowdown in the third quarter compared to the first half of the year, interest remains high for companies tied to the AI sector, such as those involved in optical communications and printed circuit boards.
