Hong Kong officials tour Hainan aerospace and historical sites

A delegation led by Chan Ching-ha, head of the Patriotic Education Working Group, and Che Tse-chung, Director of the Information Services Department, recently conducted a technology and historical tour in Wenchang, Hainan. The group, which included representatives from over ten media organizations, visited aerospace technology sites and historical revolutionary landmarks.

Chan Ching-ha emphasized the importance of using multi-dimensional perspectives and emotional resonance in patriotic education. She expressed hope that media coverage of China’s aerospace and scientific achievements would inspire Hong Kong youth to contribute to national development.

During the trip, Che Tse-chung addressed the government’s social media strategy, noting that the Information Services Department is reviewing how various departments utilize online platforms. He stated that while some platforms have become outdated, there are currently no plans to establish official government accounts on Threads. He also noted that individual departments have the autonomy to decide which social media platforms to use for their communications.
