Hong Kong police arrest man for alleged scalping at The Weeknd concert
Hong Kong police arrested a 43-year-old mainland Chinese man for allegedly attempting to resell tickets at a higher price during The Weeknd's concert at Kai Tak Sports Park on October 30.
The suspect, who entered Hong Kong using a two-way permit, is being investigated for violating his conditions of stay. Officers from the Ngau Tau Kok District Special Duty Team intercepted the man near Cheng Kei Avenue while he was reportedly attempting to sell two tickets outside the venue.
Following a report from the event organizers, the involved tickets have been voided. Police stated they will continue to crack down on illegal ticket scalping activities and urged the public to purchase tickets through official channels to avoid financial loss or invalid tickets.
