Hong Kong selected to host Hyrox World Championship 2027

Hong Kong, China, has been chosen to host the Hyrox World Championship in June 2027. The decision was announced in Stockholm and marks the first time the sport’s premier event will be held in the city.

The selection reflects rapid growth in local participation: the Hyrox race in Hong Kong attracted fewer than 1,000 entrants when it first arrived in the Asia‑Pacific region, rising to almost 20,000 across six editions over four years. Organisers described the award as a “perfect moment” for the sport’s expansion in Asia.

The championship will take place at the AsiaWorld‑Expo exhibition centre, positioning Hong Kong as a new hub for international Hyrox competitions and underscoring the increasing prominence of the Asian market in the sport’s global development.
