Hong Kong to Host 2027 PUMA HYROX World Championships

Hong Kong will stage the 2027 PUMA HYROX World Championships from 10 to 13 June at the AsiaWorld‑Expo, marking the first time the competition’s global finale is held in Asia. The event follows a rapid rise in local participation, from fewer than 1,000 competitors at the city’s inaugural APAC race in 2022 to nearly 20,000 athletes at the 2026 edition.

Only the top 0.5 % of the sport’s worldwide community, which counted 1.5 million participants across 95 cities in the previous season, will qualify for the Hong Kong showdown. Officials highlighted the economic and tourism benefits, with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Secretariat for Culture, Sports and Tourism praising the city’s capacity to host a high‑profile, low‑infrastructure‑risk sporting festival.

Co‑founder and CEO of HYROX described the Hong Kong finale as a historic milestone for the hybrid‑racing format, while PUMA’s VP noted the partnership’s commitment to performance and global expansion.
