Hongkong Land Foundation launches HK$14 million community initiative
The Hongkong Land Foundation has launched ‘The Central Spark Series’, a 24-month initiative committing HK$14 million to community projects in Hong Kong. The program aims to benefit more than 38,000 people and aligns with the HKSAR Government’s 2026 Policy Address regarding the renewal of the Central district.
Three inaugural projects, selected through the ‘AI for Good’ Hackathon, will lead the series:
• ‘Central Connect’ by the Hong Kong Design Institute will transform Central into a learning base for over 2,400 students through urban sketching, film creation, and historical exploration.
• ‘Central POP!’ by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation will engage approximately 1,600 youths through art education, exhibitions, and live performances to revitalize the area.
• ‘Central as Canvas’ by Caritas Hong Kong will provide guided art training for 300 youths with special educational needs, including those with dyslexia, to help them transition from beneficiaries to contributors by exhibiting their work in public spaces.
