Honor Robot Phone set for August 12 2026 launch in China

Honor has confirmed that its world‑first "Robot Phone" will be unveiled on 12 August 2026 in China. The flagship device, co‑developed with film‑camera maker ARRI, incorporates a four‑degree‑of‑freedom titanium‑alloy mechanical gimbal that folds into the back of the phone and deploys in about 0.8 seconds when the lens cover is slid.

The camera module combines a 200 MP main sensor mounted on the gimbal, a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, achieving CIPA 5.5‑level stabilization (up to 96 % compensation while walking). Power is supplied by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a 6 000 mAh battery and a 6.3–6.4‑inch 1.5K display. The phone will also debut Honor’s AgenticOS multimodal AI system. Pre‑orders have opened in China and the device has cleared MIIT and 3C certifications. Cost estimates for the top configuration run around 15 999 RMB, with a base price not below 5 000 RMB.
