Honor announces global MagicOS 11 rollout schedule

Honor has announced the global rollout schedule for MagicOS 11, its new operating system based on Android 17. The update aims to enhance productivity and interactivity through a revamped user interface, improved security, and advancements in the YOYO AI assistant.

The rollout follows a tiered deployment strategy. An open beta program is scheduled to run from September through November 2026 for select devices, including the Magic7, Magic V5, and various models in the 600 and 200 series. The stable version of the software is expected to begin distributing in late October 2026, with the full global rollout projected to conclude by March 2027.

Premium flagship devices, such as the Honor Magic V6, are slated to receive the update first. The update will eventually cascade down to mid-tier Number series devices, tablets like the MagicPad 4, and budget-friendly models in the X series. Key technical improvements include new system architectures designed for smoother animations and a storage management feature capable of reclaiming up to 60 GB of space through data compression.
