Huawei and Honor announce new tablet launches and AI tools

Huawei and Honor have announced new tablet releases. Huawei has opened pre-sales for the MatePad Air Z, the first tablet to feature HarmonyOS 7. The device includes an eye-protection cloud-soft screen with 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is designed for paperless learning and office work, utilizing the Xiaoyi AI agent to assist with information recording, translation, and research.

Honor will officially launch the MagicPad 4 on September 28. The tablet features a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and is powered by a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s chipset. It includes a 10,100mAh battery and a 3D heat dissipation system. The device supports a PC mode for multitasking and offers cross-platform connectivity, including file transfers with iOS devices.

Additionally, Huawei has launched Xiaoyi Work in the application market. This AI agent is designed for productivity, supporting tasks such as market research, document processing, PPT creation, and coding. It allows for cross-device task execution between HarmonyOS phones, tablets, PCs, and Windows platforms, enabling users to manage complex workflows autonomously.
