Honor Colorado leaders resolve internal disputes in Paraguay

Leaders of the Honor Colorado movement within Paraguay’s Colorado Party have reportedly resolved internal tensions. Vice President Pedro Alliana stated that a five-hour meeting with party president Horacio Cartes successfully smoothed over previous disagreements.

Alliana indicated that the party will prioritize upcoming municipal elections before making further announcements. The presidential ticket for Honor Colorado is expected to be defined in November, following the local elections. Alliana noted that the movement will consult with governors, senators, and departmental leaders to determine the selection process for his running mate.

In a separate call to action, Horacio Cartes urged Colorado Party members to participate in mass mobilization for the October 4 elections. Cartes emphasized the importance of showing the party's strength and reaffirmed the movement's commitment to social services. Meanwhile, Deputy Alejandro Aguilera denied claims that Cartes is imposing a specific candidate to accompany Alliana, characterizing Cartes' input as a suggestion consistent with his role as party leader.
