HONOR expands technology portfolio with E-Ink reader and AI Robot Phone

HONOR is expanding its product ecosystem through new hardware focusing on artificial intelligence and specialized accessories. The company has introduced the HONOR Life S3, a 3.68-inch E-Ink reader designed as a magnetic accessory. Measuring 5.6 mm in thickness and weighing 61 grams, the device attaches to the back of a smartphone using a MagSafe-style magnetic system. It features a 259 ppi resolution screen, WiFi 6 connectivity, and supports microSD expansion up to 1 TB.

Additionally, HONOR has launched the Robot Phone in China, marking a strategic shift from a traditional smartphone manufacturer to an AI driver. This device incorporates a robotic arm and gimbal capable of autonomous movement and AI-driven interactions, such as dancing to music. The Robot Phone is priced at approximately US$1,500, and high demand has been noted, with over 200,000 registrations for 40,000 available units.
