HONOR introduces Connect ecosystem for cross-device collaboration
HONOR has introduced HONOR Connect, a cross-device ecosystem feature designed to streamline interaction between compatible smartphones, tablets, PCs, wearables, and audio devices. The system aims to facilitate seamless transitions for users moving between different hardware, allowing for the transfer of information, calls, and specific activities across devices.
Key functionalities include connected notifications and calls, screen mirroring, camera sharing, and network sharing. The Connected Apps feature allows users to continue tasks, such as editing a file or note, from a smartphone on a PC. Additionally, Multi-Screen Collaboration enables users to display a phone interface on a tablet, allowing for file dragging and easier access to mobile apps on a larger screen.
Unlike many hardware ecosystems that require brand exclusivity, HONOR Connect supports multi-platform sharing. Compatible HONOR smartphones and tablets can transfer files and data with iOS devices, Mac computers, and other supported Android hardware. Stephen Cheng, vice president of HONOR Philippines, noted that the goal is to allow users to select the best device for a task while maintaining an interconnected setup.
