Honor launches Robot Phone with integrated gimbal camera
Honor has officially launched the Honor Robot Phone in China, a device that integrates a mechanical 4DoF (four degrees of freedom) gimbal stabilization system directly into its chassis. The hardware features a titanium gimbal composed of over 100 precision components, designed to provide steadicam-like stability for mobile videography.
The handset is equipped with dual 200-megapixel sensors and utilizes technologies developed in partnership with ARRI to enhance its cinematic capabilities. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and includes a 7,060 mAh battery. The device features a 6.31-inch OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Beyond physical stabilization, the phone incorporates artificial intelligence to enable features such as automatic user tracking. The design includes a prominent camera module protected by a sliding transparent glass cover, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional smartphones and professional mobile content creation tools.
