Honor launches Robot Phone with integrated mechanical gimbal
Honor has officially launched the Honor Robot Phone in China, a device featuring a built-in 4DoF (four degrees of freedom) mechanical gimbal system. The Titanium Agile Gimbal uses a 2.6-gram motor capable of 360-degree per second rotation to provide stabilized, professional-grade video capture.
Through a strategic partnership with cinema specialist ARRI, the phone integrates professional imaging workflows, including support for ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks. The camera hardware includes a 200MP main sensor on the gimbal, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, the device includes AI-driven features such as YOYO Robot Mode for gesture recognition and subject tracking. Pricing in China starts at CNY 9,999 for the 12GB/512GB model, reaching CNY 12,999 for the 16GB/1TB version. While currently focused on the Chinese market, Honor indicated that ARRI-developed technology will also be featured in its upcoming Magic9 series.
